Key Features
Sessions take place on our purpose-built throwing range, with expert instruction and strict safety procedures throughout. Participants learn the key techniques of axe throwing, track their progress and quickly see their accuracy improve. For groups, competitive scoring adds a fun team element, while the mix of skill, focus and achievement makes for an experience people genuinely want to do again. Better still, it's a skill they can take away and continue to develop.
Badge and Programme Links
Axe throwing is part sport, part instinct and a guaranteed highlight of any visit. The structured nature of the activity, including the equipment, rules and focus on accuracy, can help Girlguiding members work towards their Sport Adventure Badge. DofE participants can explore it as either a Physical or Skills section activity through regular practice and recorded progress.
For schools, the activity supports KS2 to KS4 PE through physical challenge, precision and outdoor learning. It also delivers valuable personal development benefits. Learning and refining technique takes patience, maintaining focus builds self control, and seeing real improvement over time provides a genuine sense of achievement. It's these outcomes that make axe throwing much more than just a fun activity.
