The role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to assist our treasurer with the data entry side of our accounts.

Overview

This job is about attention to detail.  You will post all income and expenditure on to QuickBooks.

 Role description

Responsible to: The Treasurer

Base location: Beaudesert Outdoor Activity Centre, Cannock Wood, WS15 4JJ

Term: Permanent

Salary: £12.00 per hour 16 hours per week on average

Working days: You will work the hours required to do the job, this will average to around 16 hours per week typically 4 mornings per week 9am till 12-30pm  

Line management responsibility: None

Key tasks

  • Account for all purchases and arrange sign off by operations manager.
  • Check supplier statements and flag any discrepancies.
  • Post all approved purchases on to QuickBooks.
  • Set up payments for approval by a Trustee.
  • Cash up and deposit to post office.
  • Raise a weekly sales report from the booking system and post on to Quickbooks.
  • Run a weekly card report from our card processor and include in sales reporting.
  • Reconcile the bank accounts.
  • Download BACS reports from bank and allocate funds to bookings.
  • Ensure annual stock checks are made.
  • Carry out payroll and set up payments for the Treasurer to approve.
  • Credit control – chase long term outstanding invoices with customers.

Who we are looking for

This role is to account for every detail in the finances. You will be a confident user of QuickBooks and very thorough and accurate.

Experience

  • Experience in using QuickBooks
  • Credit control
  • Good administrative skills
  • Experience of running payroll

  • Confident to make phone calls to customers
  • An eye for detail, accurate and thorough
  • IT literate, able to use Word, Excel, Outlook, QuickBooks and our booking software
  • Reliable and honest
